Real Transformation for our Youth, does not come only through Learning Skills…

For the past 25 years, I have engaged in work which aims to have the youth empowered and inspired, leading them to that pivotal point where they decide they will not settle for anything less, other than a way of living that meets their values and fills their hearts. For the past 25 years, I have engaged in work which aims to have the youth empowered and inspired, leading them to that pivotal point where they decide they will not settle for anything less, other than a way of living that meets their values and fills their hearts.

My dedication and commitment to this cause, is wildly supported by a gained awareness that real transformation (at both a personal as well as a more collective level) does not come only through learning skills or even practicing the use of those skills from time to time. Ultimately, that great shift, that big change, comes from the creation of fresh mindsets and from cultivating mentalities which have people passionate and determined to make a difference in the lives of others, as they live fully themselves.

Yet how is the creation of such fresh mindsets and such mentalities achieved in real life?

We are all well aware that when it comes to learning, the availability of educational resources, learning opportunities and academic programs & courses is vast, at least in this part of the world – in the experiential education field as well.  And that offering any kind of this type of formal education to their children, whether that is academic or vocational or after-hours activity, is for many parents the best gift they can offer their youngsters. As is any support they can provide, that will make their children’s learning journey and preparation for university and the employment market, as smooth as possible.

Practice also has it, that those stakeholders who have an impact on young people’s perceptions and beliefs – parents, teachers, peers, friends, have become accustomed to more or less measuring their progress & success, mainly via,

🌻 academic ability & performance,

🌻 on how well they do in those after-hours activities or extra classes – that many times     are unecessary, or

🌻 by how many things they participate in, that eventually they will talk about in their personal statements on the subsequent university applications. I speak from experience!

Yet, despite all of these huge number of resources that students can nowadays choose from and that parents very happily will do their utmost to provide, despite their many academic or non-academic achievements, t doesn’t seem to be any easier for the teens when it comes to the point when they are asked to reflect on, select and make choices about their future.

On the contrary, to decide on what studies and what career path,  seems to have become an agonizing & daunting process, for both parents & students and with an emotional impact too. And when that time comes, I have seen it also be a constant concern and cause for stress for both parties, with many questions circling inside their head, such as:

🌻 Is academic education enough?

🌻 Is there certainty that a degree will lead to successful employment?

🌻 Are employers looking for something additional from graduates?

🌻 How can my child be well prepared?

🌻What does the future entail?

🌻Will my child be happy and secure?’

In most cases, this great mixture of thoughts, agonizing conversations with other peers or other parents & teachers, school performance, a demanding time schedule, pressure from society or deep-rooted beliefs, all can metaphorically be depicted like a great ball of yarn, that sits comfortably in either party’s mind.

🌻 for students it can be a concealed mega-anxiety to perform and meet up to expectations

🌻 for parents, a carefully veiled yearning, to pave the way for their off-springs as smoothly   as possible.

Sounds familiar?

I can help you disentangle that ball of yarn! I have done it for thousands of students and their parents in the past 25 years! I can do it for you too!

Investing in work that will actually take your children’s self-worth, self confidence and self-awareness to brand new, different levels, is no longer a luxury. It’s a priority!

Now, as we are on the threshold of a new academic year, now is the best time for the students to embark on a journey that will both invite them to self-explore, to discover what it is that really fires them up and gift them with everything they need that will enable them to visualize a path that will be bring them joy and fulfillment.
