Turn for support – Be like the Sunflowers

Sunflowers, are my favourite flowers! Because for me, they represent the light, the sun, that warm golden colour that I love…

I also love that sunflowers turn towards the sun. They are fed by the light, they grow in the light.

What happens though during those rainy days, when the sun is covered by clouds?

They turn one towards the other, to share their energy! Nature is amazing!

Imagine if we all practised this in our everyday life. Do we do that? People who are most vulnerable, get sometimes depressed and feel alone. They forget that they can turn too! That they can ask for help and support. That they can share their thoughts, their worries, their emotions…

How would you like to follow the example that the beautiful sunflowers set?

  • Support one another?
  • Give one another strength?  Or what’s more vital
  • Give your own support & strength to yourself?

Because, everything begins within us, from inside of us…from the thoughts we entertain, the mindset we have, by the words we choose to use…The truth is, if we do want to support ourselves and get from the ‘here’ to the ’there’, to a movement forward, a starting point is to bravely turn that torch inside and put light into those parts of us that we kept in the dark for too long. The road to self-awareness, to self-discovery, takes time, patience, perseverance, determination. It is a process. A journey…And, it’s the only way to our transformation. The only way that will lead us to consciously deciding where we want to head and how we want to be living our life.

Everyone of us is in a position to live our lives the way we choose to! It’s a matter of personal responsibility. This is why I like this quote by Jim Rohn : You must take personal responsibility. You cannot change the circumstances, the seasons or the wind. But you can change yourself. That is something you have charge of

And because the journey to self-exploration and to daring living conscious lives can be scary to many people, I urge you to not stand alone! But to turn, like the Sunflowers, towards someone who can really listen to you, will never judge you, will never talk about what you share with anyone else and has the skills, the tools and the training to hold your space and champion you along the way!

Love,

Marlene 🌻
